Full-time for more than 40 years...
I have been a professional music copyist since 1979. I earned my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in double bass performance from the Juilliard School where I studied under David Walter, who was a remarkable and inspiring musician. I was taught how to prepare music by the great master of the craft, Arnold Arnstein, whose renowned New York studio prepared the music for most of America’s prestigious composers. After working in Arnie’s studio I went to Los Angeles and copied music for the Warner Brothers and Hanna-Barbera studios. I served as orchestral librarian for the Aspen Music Festival for 6 seasons, continuing for 3 additional seasons as head librarian. As a free lance bass player I have participated in thousands of hours of rehearsals and performances and have a keen sense of how scores and parts must work.
I have prepared works for premiere by most of the major orchestras in the U.S.A., and many ensembles and leading chamber groups.
