Estimates

If your work isn’t yet fully composed I would be happy to offer a non-binding estimate. If a work is fully composed, please send a photocopy of the manuscript, or an Acrobat PDF file for an estimate. I may charge a fee for the time it takes me to prepare an estimate for a very large work (such as an opera or text book). A description of exactly what I'll provide should I be hired will be made available. You will be asked to acknowledge this description.

Scheduling

I will be happy to work with you to accommodate your schedule and deadline(s). If you have a “rush job,” please contact me for my availability.

Proof Copies

Acrobat PDF files of the work I do for you will be sent to you for your review. In the case of a score, you will be asked to review and approve before I begin extracting the parts. After your review, should you ask me to make changes to your file which were not discussed before the job began, I will charge extra to make the changes. Examples might include: providing a second score (in C or transposed), redoing the format, the addition or deletion of instruments, etc. If I have been hired to make parts only, they too will be made available for your review/approval.

Payment

For most jobs: 50% of the labor estimate is required before work begins. The remaining 50% will be billed before the originals are shipped to you, to a music reproduction service or to your publisher. For larger projects: an advance payment (details to be determined) will be asked for, followed by progress payments (details also to be determined). Payment is expected upon receipt of the bill. Post-performance revisions are considered a separate job. There is never a charge for the correction of my mistakes. 

The costs of photocopying, binding, and shipping are not included in my hourly labor rate. You are under no obligation to ask me to provide photocopying and binding. Copies of all receipts showing money which was needed to be spent for the execution of your project will always be available upon your request. After final payment is received any of the files associated with the job will be made available.

International Customers

Payments will be sent in US Dollars via wire transfer from your bank to mine.
